Indeed Luna had no idea that Seig had not yet slept. The poisons that Randell had given her finally was leaving her fragile system and she slept like a baby. Ever since she managed to find Seig, or at least to recognize him, she felt safe. She had no cause for fear but she didn't know that he left the room.
Luna tossed a few times before the figure walked into her room. His aim was likely to kill her but she was oblivious to the reality of the world since she was still comfortably dancing in the land of dreams.
Soon though the sound of a body that was hitting the floor woke up the sleeping albino femme. Weakly she managed to get out of bed but just as quickly she fell to the floor. She crawled over to the dead beast, her door still flung wide open. Instantly she knew that Randell had been there. Frantically her eyes began to scan the room for signs of Seig.
Luna's tears flooded her large pink eyes and then fell to the floor. Her mind was racing with thoughts. She was scared. What should she do? The ferret-tess began to scramble across the floor upon knees and paws until she managed to crawl beneath her bed where she would curl up into a tiny ball. She tried her hardest to keep from sobbing as her body shook with fear.
Normally she probably could have out ran the killer but in her weakened state she would likely be killed instantly by a powerful swipe of his blade across her slender neck, much like the poor soul that laid in her doorway. Luna placed a paw over her own mouth to silence her soft whimpering noises.

It was a couple hours after noon when Siegfried returned to the tavern. The sun had risen to it's throne in the sky, completely oblivious to what had happened below. As he stepped into the tavern, Sieg exploded with mixed emotions. With love for finally returning to Luna. With fear for her health. With anger for the scene in front of him. . . .
A constable was there, he had taped off most of the scene of the crime. A dead rat and stoat were being carried out on stretchers. Panic streaked through Siegfried, drawing his spear, he sped up the stairs and into his room. He slipped and fell, as he tried to get up he slipped again, hitting his head.
Laying on the floor, he felt his head with a paw. . . . It was wet. Looking at the paw, he found it was drenched in blood. The floor felt wet as well, looking down, he was sitting in a puddle of blood. Scrambling out of the puddle he crawled to the bed, she was not on the bed, but beneath it. Curled in a ball she lay there sobbing, grasping her paw he slowly helped her out from beneath the bed. Holding her tightly to himself, he cried on her shoulder.
"I thought you were dead! Your alive! I'll never leave your side again! Can you ever forgive me?"

As if what Randell had done to her, by poisoning her, wasn't enough to torture the fragile mind of the female albino. Now she was being hunted by him as well, haunted by him. Her eyes were wide when Seig pulled her out from beneath the bed. She was shivering from being on the cold floor all that time and she was trembling from fear.
Seig held her. She noted the blood seeping from his head but wasn't able to respond to it. Instead she simply curled up, rounding her shoulders as she pressed her snout into his chest. "Randell.... He was here. He was going to kill me." Luna allowed herself to glance over at the doorway where the floor was now stained with the blood of the beast that really saved her.
Indeed she was physically and mentally worn out. If things like this kept happening to her she would surely lose her mind. She looked up at Seig with a tear stained face. There was nothing but pure terror in her pink eyes. She knew that he felt bad for leaving her alone. Really it wasn't his fault but now she would likely not be able to sleep comfortably for a long time. "Where did you go?" Her thoughts were random because she finally said something about his head. "You hurt yourself." Her paw reached out to touch his cheek tenderly.

"Randell. . . . He was here. He was going to kill me," Sieg held her tighter. Randell came, he already knew that much. The two poor beasts that had lost their lives did not deserved to die. But that was life, life was not fair and beasts like those two poor souls are taken by cruelty. They will be avenged. . . .
"No, my love. . . . Meine liebe. He will not kill you. He is gone now," he tried to comfort her. But it didn't seem to work. She seemed weary, she needed a vacation. To leave this place, under the protection of Siegfried and blot Randell from her mind. To heave this heavy burden from her mind, would greatly ease her weariness.
"Where did you go," she asked. And he shouldn't have gone anywhere, he should have stayed here and watched over Luna.
"I found Ladorak, I trekked for three hours trying to find the place where his house was. . . . And I found him," yes, he found him. . . . But with consiquences. Perhaps next time he would be more careful. Sieg lovingly grasped her paw as it stroked his cheek.
"You hurt yourself," she said. He reached up to touch his head, realizing he was drenched in blood from the unlikely soul. Loosing her from his grasp, he walked over to the basin full of water. Dousing his head in the water, he ran his paw through his headfur washing off all of the blood. Pulling his head from the water, drying himself with his cloak. Turning towards Luna, he smiled.
"There, good as new." He didn't want to tell her that the blood wasn't his, he had thought that it might send her into a frightened state again. Seeing her in tears, he grasped her tight to himself again. Softly kissing her on the forehead, he tried to comfort her.
"There, there meine liebe. . . . He will not strike the same place twice, he knows better. He will come some other time. For now we can rest easy. . . . But to make you feel better, I'll sit in chair by your bed all night." He said, hoping she would forget what had happened.

Luna was very naive. When she met him she was stripped of a firm grasp on reality. Seig changed all of that. She was very quick to trust him now and to believe what he said about Randell not coming back, striking the same place twice in one night. Luna nodded as he kissed her forehead and her paw grabbed his wrist.
She would be reluctant to lay back down. All precautions had to be taken. The windows and doors needed to be locked and she didn't want Seig to sit in a chair beside her, she wanted him right next to her. Even as the tears still flowed she requested that he would promise to stay against her all night long. "Please sleep with me in the bed?" If he moved an inch from her she would know.
The femme then waited for him to respond before she would attempt to get up in order to lock the doors and windows. It was grandly evident that she was still recovering from the poisons and now this. Indeed she was in a very fragile position and it was only Seig that could see her through it now.

Sieg clutched her head to his chest, the warmth from her fur spreading over his body. Yes, she would be safe. His skill with a blade might not be a match fro Randell, but his determination to protect Lunaesta would make him to be a formidable opponent. She would be safe, yes he would watch from the chair, he would not sleep. But it seemed Luna wished otherwise, she wanted him to sleep with her in bed.
He had never slept with a female, nor anybeast for that matter. Normally, Sieg would refused her until they were married. But . . . her tear stained face and the puddle of blood behind him softened his face. Stroking her headfur, he smiled.
"Yes, if that will make you feel better," he said, sitting her on the bed. Turning around, he pondered the problem of the puddle. That would surely unnerve Lunaesta, it even made himself sick to the stomach. Siegfried's past experiences with Randell came to him as he stared at the puddle.
The assassination of his younger sister, he had fought hard to protect her . . . but failed. Randell had been merciful, sparing his life, but giving him something to remember him by. Sieg slowly stroke the scar on the left side of his face.
Another time, Sieg's close friend and comrade and been killed by the cruel beast in a disgruntle over a game of dice. Again, he fought bravely, but soon failed. He was surely no match against the assassin. Siegfried felt depressed as he remembered past encounters. If he could not save countless others from this beast . . . how could he save his love?
"Ich schwöre."
Coming back to reality, he picked up a rug that was at the foot of the bed and laid it over the red puddle. Closing the door, he slid the bolt into place, firmly locking it. Turning to Lunaesta he winked. . . .

Seig seemed to calm, cool and collected. Luna didn't know how he manged to do that. Inwardly she felt like a carriage wreck. She felt like she could lose it at any time. Similar things that happened to her in her past caused her to withdrawal from the world. At the time she had no beast to keep her in reality but now she has Seig and so this made her try even harder to hand on to her sanity.
The one thing that Luna did know was that she loved him with her whole heart, soul and mind. She wondered at time if he knew just how much he meant to her. The female would go to the ends of the world for him, just to see his smiling face and to be held in his arms.
As it turned out Luna didn't have to bolt the door because Seig had accomplished that feat for her. He turned and winked at her. Just this little deed warmed her insides until she managed to smile, just before she laid down. She hoped that Seig would crawl in behind her and wrap his arms around her. Him being completely next to her would be the only way that she'd feel safe.
Luna watched him with loving eyes. She took a ragged breath. Seig could see that she was still very nervous and only when he was very close to her was she even remotely relaxed. It would take time for her to return to her old calm self but right now she envisioned in her mind that Randell was standing right outside her door, waiting to pounce on her and kill her.
Visions began to return to her thoughts... images of what Randell did to her. Things that she never got the chance to tell Seig yet. Basically she felt tortured until she thought for sure that she was going to die. But to the best of her knowledge she never told him where Seig was. He must have tracked them here. This in itself made her feel bad. If she would have never tried to come to Seig Randell would have never known where he was, or so she thought.
Luna then spoke. Her voice was as soft as a spring rain sounded in for forest, tenderly rattling down through the leafs on the trees. "Seig.... I'm sorry. Randell followed me here. I'm sorry. I wasn't thinking but I just had to see you." She snuggled her face into the pillow as the tears ran like a stream from her eyes. Seig much have thought that she was weak but Luna just couldn't help it.
