"Yes well.....it's fine now." he said reassuringly. "For you at least...not for me. I'm still stuck here.....still not sure where to turn." he mumbled, shaking his head and closing his eyes as he rested his head on his shoulder.
"If only I didn't have to do this....if I only I didn't come back here. I feel like I'm caught in something I don't really belong in right now. Those Rosferians are going to cause trouble....mark my words. And well..there's the whole Pascale thing....he said that my adoration of him annoyed him....that he didn't like my family much...and that he would not under any circumstances hire Lucien as my aide de camp. Harsh words from someone you look up to.....eh?" he asked sadly, opening his eyes and pulling back but still holding her.
"Come on...let's get Admiral Truguet to my place. He'll be billeted with us. He seems an impressive sort.....one I'd like to get to know better." he said, withdrawing his arms and shoving his paws into his coat pocket. He crunched his boots over the snow, beginning to trudge back towards the center of town and his house.

Val was a bit shaken but not so stirred that she was out of her mind with emotions. She'd been through worse, much worse. It was easy for her to listen to Bone as he spoke but what comforted her the most was his arms, his body so near to her own. She missed having him so very near. In the end though the only words of comfort that she could give to him was that everything would work out in its own due time. These words she whispered to him as if it were a secret.
Then Bone turned but not before informing her of his intentions. Going back home was fine by her, not that she looked forward to the disturbance that his younger brother would probably be causing. If she ever had kits like that she'd use a paddle on their rumps. But Val didn't think that they would ever have children that behaved so badly. She was sure that things would go better for them.
Val nodded up at Bone, feeling sorry for him. She knew that he didn't want to be here but there was very little that they could do about that now. All that the femme could do was to simply support him, either by words or by small physical gestures. And so she tucked her paw in between his arm and his ribs, giving him a reassuring squeeze. Hopefully they'd be getting back to the house soon. Her teeth were beginning to chatter together.

The trip back was thankfully uneventful, as Boneparte really didn't need any additional problems right now. Throwing open the door to his domicile, he was once again greeted by most of his siblings, and once more ran through the introductions for Truguet's sake. Truguet, for his part, seemed particularly taken by Elisa, despite her young age. It wasn't so unusual, for an older male to take liking to a much younger female, though Elisa wouldn't be of marrying age for another 3 years yet.
"I think to welcome our new guests, we should hold a bit of a small party tonight. I hope the two of you like to dance." Boneparte's mother looked at Val and Truguet, to which the Admiral nodded, admitting he was very partial to parties.
The family once more separated to go off and do their own things. "Well, would you like to stay in the family room, or talk to me in private? Either way is fine." Boneparte turned to Val now, giving her a smile, which was for once warm and genuine, the first he'd given her since he'd gotten here. Hopefully....he gain some modicum of glory in this upcoming expedition and prove himself to Pascale again.

~Val
Val smiled at Bone's mother. It was her way of saying 'yes', she liked to dance. Thoughts of slow dancing with Boneparte gave her a soft chill up her spine but she quickly put that out of her mind. It wasn't time to think about such things.
Bone then turned to her, giving her a smile that warmed her inwardly. She didn't want to get in the way of business though and so she'd excuse herself. "I think that I'll go to my room now and arrange my things. Would you care to join me?" With that said she began to walk toward where she supposed that her room was.
She found her way to her room, of course guided by the paw of Bonepart. It wouldn't take long to straighten up and organize her little living area because it wasn't like she had that many things but for now her focus would remain on Bonepart, wondering if he had something on his mind that he wanted to speak with her about.
Val entered and sat on the edge of the bed while she kept her eyes on the male. She almost always watched what he did, the way that he moved and spoke. It didn't take a scholar to see that she was in love with him whole heartedly.
