Name: Selvis Frenata
Species: Long-tailed weasel
Resided in: Crittenden, Ferlusan
Currently serving aboard the HMS Agamemnon
Age: 15
Appearance: 5' 3", blue eyes, rich, glossy brown fur, medium-yellow underbelly, stripe of the same hue running down the length of his tail.
Personality: Selvis is filled with almost boundless energy, optimistic and light-hearted. He's also compassionate and caring, showing goodwill to every creature he meets. Granted, he doesn't have as rosy a view of the future as you might expect, due to his own personal difficulties - and he's also prone to moodswings too. Thankfully, though, these are brief at the most.
He can also play the role of the entertainer very well indeed. When he hasn't got his snout in a book, the weasel is as sharp as a tack. He is quite a talented juggler, and can also do impressions and crack jokes better than most others he knows. He is nimble, even for a weasel, and has absolutely no fear of high places. In fact, the mustelid is just as comfortable up above as he is on ground level, even going as far as to perform balancing acts every now and then. He used to be a street magician, also, and has since taken up that hobby again, aboard the HMS Agamemnon.
Biography: Upon joining the ship, Selvis left behind a hard-working father (Trelio), who didn't have much time for him, and wished he didn't need to spend so much time away (though he did keep in touch whenever possible, and has now returned to Crittenden where he works in a local shop); as well as a disadvantaged mother (Briga Corvius, though she is now of course known as a Frenata), who was left hospitalised in mid-1792 after breaking her ankle in a cart accident. She now walks with a pronounced limp. Selvis still misses them, but they communicate through letters whenever he can find the time to write.
Selvis dropped out of school to pursue his dream of becoming a seafarer; he's a bright creature, well-known as a scholar - but the sea called to him then, as it still does now, and its siren-song is altogether too attractive for the young weasel to resist. He may not be the happy-go-lucky, carefree creature he used to be, but he's made some decisions that he plans to stick by for better or worse.
