Myles smiled at the grin on Viv’s face.” Yes Ma’am I know for a fact that he’ll like it. He doesn’t have a piece like this one in his collection.” Noel looked at the smaller piece. “Sure, I am feeling a little hungry.” Myles said, which was not surprising sense he was only still a teen, only just as he approached his 18th birthday. “And I know just the place.” Myles grinned, he had grown up in the town, and he knew every bit of it like the back of his paw.
“This way Miss Viv, He led the way out of the alley, brushing by several beasts as he passed, “Excuse us, pardon me.” He kept a light hold on Viv’s wrist, so he wouldn’t lose her in the crowd. He lead the to a small side walk café, he walked up and held out a chair for Viv then sat down himself. He waited for a few moments waiting for one of the waiters to come over. She was a friend of his and that was part of the reason he had brought her here. After a bit he asked the question that had been on his mind for a while, “Umm Miss Viv, What are you going to do with the other one?

The femme kat-tess was extremely happy that Noel did not have a similar piece in his collection. She was almost giddy as they began to walk toward a place that they could quench the hunger that was beginning to ping in their bellies.
Myles kept Viv's wrist while in her other paw she clutched tightly the two boxes with the rare gems in them. A smile tugged at the corners of her lips and especially so when Myles held the back of her chair for her. Gracefully she sat and placed the necklaces on the table, right where she could see them.
A few moments passed until the pair was settled. Viv never minded the silence that could rain when in the company of another. It wasn't uncomfortable but soon enough Myles asked Viv a question. Of course she smiled. "Well I planned on matching Noel. I'm going to wear the necklace." Viv giggled softly.
With a delicate tempo she drummed her fingers on the table as her eyes glanced about for the waitress and at everyone else that was there. She wondered what Myles was thinking. Did he think that it was odd that Viv bought two necklaces that matched? It wasn't like Viv and Noel were a couple.
Soon her eyes found Myles. "What did you mean before when you said that I was good for Noel? You do realize that he's never expressed any interest in me except for business... Right?" And so thus was the reason for Viv wanting to know why Myles said such a thing. This would be a good time for her to get to know Myles and perhaps Viv will feel comfortable enough to share some things about herself with him.

Myles jerked slightly, he had thought that she hadn't heard him, or at least had ignored him. "Um, well Miss," He cleared his throat, slightly uncomfotarble. He rubbed a paw across his head, ruffling his ears as he tried to find words to explain what he had meant. Before he could, Leila came up, a smile wide on her face.
“Myles, been awhile sense Ah’ve seen you ‘round here.” Her sound of her gentle accent gave Myles a chance to catch his thoughts.
“Hi Leila, This is Miss Viviana Mist,” Myles held out a paw to Viv, Leila dropped a quick curtsy to her. “And this Leila Matthews, a dear friend of mine.” Leila nodded then set a menu in front of both of them.
“Ah’ll be back soon for your orders.” With that she moved away, leaving Myles wishing he had kept his thoughts to himself back in the alley. “Well Miss Viv, I mean that, um that is to say.,” He rubbed his ears again, a habit of his developed that showed when he was nervous or upset. Though thankfully Viv wouldn’t know that yet. He sighed and looked at her. ‘Plainly Miss, its because he’s been able to smile since the time you joined us.” He looked at over to where his brothers were hiding. “He hasn’t been able to smile sinse Miss Miranda died a few years ago. It was just after I started working for Mr. Noel, the both of them were almost always smilin’ an’ laughin’ ‘bout something.” Myles shook his head and picked up the menu in front of him, though he mostly knew what he was going to have. Chamomile tea with some peppermint cookies. It’s what he always had there.
Myles looked up at her again, “What did you think I meant Miss, iffen you don’t mind me asking.”

She knew that she put Myles on the spot but she just had to know what he meant. Viv felt bad for it... partly but the outcome would be to get to know more about Noel.
The waitress was nice enough and Viv bowed her head slightly when Myles introduced them. She would have curtsied as well but she was sitting down. A bow of the head worked nicely. After being introduced she was given a menu. Viv thanked the server and watched as she made her way to another table.
Viv looked toward Myles and he needed to second bidding to answer her. The kat-tess smiled when Myles was saying that she, apparently, made Noel smile. But then she chimed in after he was completely done and asking her a question now. "I really wasn't sure what you meant. That's why I asked. And I didn't know that he hasn't smiled in a while. I'm assuming that they were going to be married?" Viv looked down at the menu.

Myles wished he had kept his mouth shut, you couldn't really tell, but he knew that Mr Noel wouldn't have wanted him to have even mentione Miss Miranda, but he already had so he might as well tell what he knew.
"I guess they would have if she hadn't died." Myyles looked down, not wanting to talk about it any more. He fiddled with the menu for a few moments, then Leila came up again.
"Ahll right right now Myles, Miss Mist, what can Ah be gettin' for ya? Myles looked up and smiled at her.
"Just the normal Leila," She nodded and wrote down, making a note to let the tea seep a little longer than she normally did, Myles seemed a little agitated. She turned tp VIv.
"And you Miss?"

Viv always assumed that to talk about something made a beast feel better and so she wasn't really noticing that Myles was agitated. Her curious nature made her want to know more about Noel and especially so since he himself wasn't about to talk about it himself to Viv, or so it seemed.
The waitress returned and she seemed to know what Myles wanted already. Oh dear... She wasn't really looking at the menu and so she just quickly glance down and picked something. "I'll just have a blueberry muffin with some hot tea. Thank you so much." Viv gave the server a soft smile.
Viv then turned to Myles once Leila took her leave. "It's okay Myles. You don't have to tell me anymore. It's just...." The femme took a drink of her water. Her mouth seemed awfully dry. "Well... Noel really doesn't talk to me. I really can't see us ever getting any closer then an employer and an employee." Viv shrugged her slender shoulders and then smiled shyly at Myles.

Myles smiled at Leila as she made her way into the kitchen. Then looked over at Viv. He sighed and ruffled his ears again. He smiled kindly at her. "It's alright Miss Viv." He sighed and let his paw fall to the table with a soft plop. "The Captain doesn't really talk to talk to anyone anymore. Just Miss Elana, and the Missus Telious."
He sat back, waiting for Leila to come back. He was looking around, pointing several times where he saw his brothers still flitting around. As of now they were "hiding" behind a stall selling fish netting. Taylor was fussing at Manny because the latter had gotten his paw stuck in the nets.
They had just gotten the paw free when Leila appeared again. She set their tea and treats in front of them, along with a plate of sugar cookies and two glasses of milk. Myles looked uop at her and caught her wink.
"Your little brothers, should be 'round here somewhere, right?" Myles smiled and nodded, thanking her and then standing so he could motion the boy's over. He looked over his shoulder. "You go ahead and eat, I need to go get them, I don't they can see me, I'll only be a moment." With that Myles hurried over the street, poking his head under several tables where he had seen them last.

The game of cat and mouse could go on between Noel and Viviana for seasons. Viv really didn't mind this because she had seasons to spend. Or at least she thought so and felt so. "Well.... Hmmm..." Viv was a bit confused. She wasn't sure if Noel felt a friend connection with her or more then a friend connection. Perhaps Viv just made him recall Miranda. "Okay... so. Let me get this straight."
Viv was interrupted by the waitress and then by Myles fleeing the table in order to get his brothers that seemed to be 'hiding'. The kat-tess smiled, nodded at Myles and then leaned forward as she rubbed her cheek with the palm of her paw. Getting to talk with Myles like this was nice but it left Viv more confused then ever. Being alone at the table gave the femme time to think and think she did as she occasionally looked over at Myles to see if he found his brothers yet. It seemed that they played this game often.
Gracefully Viv pinched a piece of muffin off and placed it on her tongue. In circles she began to stir her tea after she plopped three squares of sugar into it, no milk. The sound of the metal spoon clinking against the glass cup soothed her soul into a relaxed state. She was hoping that she would make some head-way with Myles here today. Oh how she wished that he would get back to the table so that she was able to finish what she wanted to say.

Myles found them quickly, they were too busy giggling to stay quiet. He soon had them back over to the table, pulling up two more chairs for them. "Now sit still you two, Miss Viv was trying to say something 'fore I left to grab you two." Both boys plopped down on there chairs and proceeded to stuff their mouths with cookies. Shaking his head and rolling his eyes, he took a drink of his tea.
"I'm sorry Miss Viv, you were saying something?" He grabbed one of his own cookies dunked it in Manny's milk, earning him a glare, which he responded to by crossing his eye's at Manny.

~Viv
At first Viv gave him a blank look. Clearly she was day dreaming about Noel and their non-existent relationship. "I don't think that Noel looks at me as nothing other than a potential friend. I don't think that he's ready for a relationship if he's still that in love with Miranda. I wouldn't say this to him but I feel that I can to you because you will understand. The most detailed conversation that the Captain and I have shared is when he gave me a tour of the Hotel." Viv took another bite of her muffin and then sat it down so that she could take a sip of her tea. "I really fancy Noel but he hasn't let me in. He has a really strong wall around him. He needs more time. Much more time." Viv smiled at boys and then at Myles.
The kat-tess rubbed her cheek again with her paw. Her forehead was now etched with a puzzling crease as her eyes squinted in Myle's direction. "In my opinion he just looks at me as just another employee and nothing else. So I don't see how I could possibly make a difference in his life. Maybe he's just smiling to be cordial?" Viv sighed and then pressed on her chest with her free paw. Her heart was aching but she wasn't quite sure why.
