I know we're not currently closely following the land war, but that'll change this year, so may as well do the results for last year, 1794.
Victories:
Rosferia: 12
Welkin: 5
Kostritz: 2
Ferlusan: 1
Unlike last year, where the Coalition scored more victories than Rosferia, Rosferia clearly has the Coalition beat this year with 12 victories to their 8. Surprisingly, Welkin has done the majority of the legwork in 1794 for the Coalition, with Gradvar contributing almost nothing and suffering a major defeat.
The year opened slightly unsteadily for Rosferia as they lost several of their Caribbean possessions to Welkin and Ferlusan, but then slowly started gaining them back as the year progressed. Rosferia launched offensives against both Eastern Mordenz and Ferlusan, and won a crushing victory over Ferlusan at the Battle of Boulou, pushing them out of Rosferia and back over their border.
A two pronged offensive was planned for Eastern Mordenz, with the western prong meeting initial success against the Coalition, and then stalling when it came up against the seasoned Kostritzer troops. As stalemate developed, the eastern prong came into play, and swept in behind the Coalition, causing Kostritz to shift its main army to meet the new threat. However, the tables were turned in June when the Rosferians won the surprising and decisive victory at Fleurus, ending Kostritz domination of Eastern Mordenz, and forcing the Welkinite/Mordenzer troops back into Western Mordenz, and Kostritz to retreat back behind its own borders.
The victory at Fleurus was significant as Kostritz chose to adopt a defensive stance only from that point on. While the western prong then turned its attention to Western Mordenz, the eastern prong dropped down and followed the retreating Kostritzer army to its borders. Western Mordenz fell in a blitz winter offensive in January of 1795, knocking them effectively out of the war and opening negotiations between Rosferia and Mordenz at The Hague.
Gradvar had only one major battle in 1794, and that was a defeat. In July, after having secured Mordenz, Rosferia turned its attention to Gradvar, and defeated their army in an invasion of their border regions, leading them to seek peace at Basel, in neutral Switzerland. Gradvar does not wish to throw its main army into this war, as Delorn is hovering dangerously on their eastern borders, and they refuse to fully commit to the war in Rosferia so long as Delorn threatens them from that direction. Although Empress Catherine has announced that she's not interested in Gradvar, and only seeks to gobble up Kradowska, Gradvar has erred on the side of caution here, and has chosen to open up negotiations with Rosferia for peace.
Kostritz and Gradvar had ceased cooperating with each other, mostly over disputes over what should happen to Kradowska. Gradvar wants to dismember it with Delorn, but Kostritz wants to keep it in existence as a Catholic buffer state (as neither Delorn nor Gradvar are Catholic). Either way, it's caused the Protestant Gradvar and the Catholic Kostritz to cease aiding each other in this war.
The Calgarian front remained largely stagnant, with neither side advancing due to lack of numbers, and the Rosferians managed to defeat a brief Kostritz offensive in that theater, maintaining the status quo.
In the south, Rosferia focused on retaking its border forts from Ferlusan, and then pushed into Ferlusan itself in September. Fighting the decisive Battle of the Black Mountain in November, Ferlusan's forces were smashed, causing Ferlusan to seek peace with Rosferia as well, and said nation has sent their delegates to join the ongoing peace talks between Gradvar and Rosferia at Basel. If these two nations reach a peace agreement, Rosferia intends to shift its troops on the Ferlusanian front to the Calgarian front.
Literally only Kostritz, Calgary, and Welkin are still at war with Rosferia, with Mordenz, Gradvar, and Ferlusan all discussing peace. Half the Coalition has entered into negotiations, while the other half remains at war. It's been a rather successful year for the Rosferians, and they seem poised to continue their success, though still have Kostritz to deal with on land, and Welkin to contend with at sea, but it seems their star is definitely on the rise.
