Otto finished buttoning his coat up, and he stepped out in to the cold night air with Sciurus, Otto telling the squirrel to lead the way to the hotel. "I hope you enjoyed that...I sure did. You're quite the speaker. Did you learn from someone or are you self taught?" the otter asked as he walked beside the squirrel.

"Self taught," the squirrel replied modestly, shrugging as if it were not that big of a deal to him.
Sciurus explained as they neared the hotel, which was only really a stone's throw from the headquarters of the Cordeliers Club.
"I've been practicing through the hypnosis sessions I have done. As you know, Otto, our talent requires much use of the voice. I became more confident as a speaker as I kept practicing, although I haven't been asked to make a speech in a while, and never in front of that many creatures, so you'll understand why I was nervous to begin with."
Sciurus halted when they reached the front door of the hotel. Once again, the two hypnotists shook paws.
"Well, here's my stop. I wish you a pleasant night, Otto, and I may well see you tomorrow."
The squirrel entered the inn, went down the corridor and into his room, and was soon deeply asleep, having collapsed into his bed, worn out.
Whereas Sciurus had seemed nervous a few hours ago, he now felt calm and confident, delighted to be a part of the Revolution. He just hoped that what he brought to the table could be of use to the Club, as he was sure that the next while would be crucial to the outcome of the Revolution. While the threat of war lingered, the revolutionaries had to make the most of any opportunities they got, as any progress, however miniscule, would be of benefit to their cause. One thing was certain, however: everybeast had to be kept on their paws, for, as Sciurus Whirlpaw had learned, the unexpected had to be expected.

Otto was quite impressed with his new friend. Never before had he seen such eloquence in a self-taught mammal, and he now knew that he had made the right choice in asking for Sciurus's assistance. Good things would come of this....he was certain about it.
Whistling in to the darkness to no one in particular, the otter moved with a lighter step as he began to make his way back towards his own house, his head filled with thoughts of what may be to come for the squirrel and for the Cordeliers Club, indeed for the entire country of Rosferia. Little did he know that it wouldn't quite pan out the way he envisioned it....but for now the otter felt in quite the rising mood, and would not stop now in believing that things could only go up from here.
