Luxe smirked at the imperialist tone in Caden's voice. Glancing around the room, he noticed that Caden had managed to get most of the toy's in the room into one pile in the corner of the room. Walking over he moved some of the kits to the side, ignoring their cries of protest. Picking up a small ball he rolled it to one side of the room, towards a small muskrat kit that was starting to cry from his spot on the floor. He continued to pass out the toy's to various kits in the room, even some of Caden's "follower's' held out eager paws for a toy. Finding what he wanted he straightened, moved across the room, carrying what it was in front of him, so Caden couldn't see it. Picking up a kit that was barely over a season old, he spun and called out "Caden, catch." The words were accompanied by a toy sword flying, handle first towards him. Flourishing His own toy in a circle, he moved into a fighters crouch across from the kit, still holding the kit in his rightfore limb. "Engard, Fort Commander Caden!" He said adopting an accent for the benefit of his point. 'I hope that this works.' He thought as he slowly circled Cadens posistion

((As Caden))
Hey! Just what did this interloper (Caden didn't know what that meant, and it wasn't a part of his thoughts) think he was doing!? He had just released all of his prized possessions! Snarling, the albino was fast losing his temper...not a hard thing to do for him actually.
Suddenly though, a toy sword was tossed at him, and Caden deftly caught it. The other kits were impressed by this older child's display of swordmammalship. He wasn't really all that good with a sword though, but he wasn't terrible either. Helandria had taught him to wield one, but she had a rough, streetfighter type method of teaching, and not a proper, refined way.
So this invader wanted to fight did he? Fine! It was up to him to protect his Kingdom, and he would do that! Yes! He was Lord of this place! He was older and could boss all the other kits around! The 11 year old was in charge of these toddlers, and indeed the oldest was only 7. He would defend his title of ruler of this palace!
Doing a slow circle himself, he bared his fangs. "Ye gonna regret crossin' me!" he spat the words out, and some started cheering him, others, mostly the really young ones, started cheering on Luxe. In a flash he was charging forward, swinging his toy in a broad sweeping horizontal arc aimed at the stoat's legs....which was really an ideal striking point for the short kit. If he tried to reach, he might just be able to nick Luxe's chin, but that would be about it. However this first attack was aimed right at the knees, something that Caden knew if this were real life would be pretty damaging to any beast, be it adult or child.

Luxe's reaction was simpler than Caden could of thought. He just skipped backwards, out of the reach of the smaller beast, seeing as both of them had an advantage over the other. Caden really hit Luxe where it would count, but Luxe had nearly 11years experience with both street fighting, and formal training. After his first strike he simply skipped out of the way of the blade, turning in a counterclockwise spin, he reached out a deftly rained three blows in on the smaller kit, lighly tapping his head, leftfore limb and right forelimb, still spinning around the lad in a slight circle. Thing was, Luxe didn't even look at him as he did it. He was talking to the kit. "Well now little one, I think that this is the dance that your parents will be doing, its called The Stratospheros Waltz, don't you think that would get dizzy after a bit? I do..." Luxe kept up the nonsense prattle, the only thing that showing that he was paying any attention to the situation at paw was a slight flicking of his blade, feints a Caden's head, paws and neck, just to keep him guessing...

Jayd was willing to fight for what she loved and that now was Ladorak. She was willing to let him go when he needed to go to fight for their country but right now she was in the mode that she didn't want to lose him because of something that she should have told him in the beginning. Now she couldn't imagine her life without him. This was why she was so insistent upon the fact that she was willing to reform.
So longingly she wanted him to embrace her. The desire was like a fever in her bones. But she knew that he needed to wind down from the fact that her family were a bunch of what the world calls 'pirates' and so she simply would keep her arms around 'him' and answer his questions and respond to his statements. She also chimed in some of her own, if only to reassure him of her devotion to him. "I promise you now Ladorak that I will never keep things from you again. Please believe me. I need for you to trust me. I kept it from you because I was afraid of losing you." Tenderly her snout nuzzled him, urging him to show her at least some signs of affection.
His proposal to give them time to think about the relationship threw her for a mental loop. Slightly her knees buckled. "I don't want to wait to be married. I want us to be husband and wife as soon as possible. It doesn't have to be a big 'to do'. Us standing on the beach and speaking our vows to each other will be fine for me. I don't need time to think about it. I already know what my heart wants and it's you." Upon tip-paws she stood and kissed his face, trailing to his lips. Even if he didn't kiss her back she felt the need to show him how much she loves him.

Caden was growling the whole time under his breath, letting out a hiss here and there at this impertinence of this adult. No adult pushed him around! He was bonked lightly on the head and arms, and he was pretty sure his own blow had missed.
"OK Mr. Bad Stoat....yer gonna get it!" Caden snarled, and angrily swung a few perries to counter the feints Luxe was throwing at him. What was going on here? This stoat wasn't even paying attention! He was talking to that little snot nosed brat! Caden should've been able to whip this jerk no problem!
Letting out a yell, he dashed forward, swinging his (toy) sword in a right, left, and downwards diagonal series of slashes, trying to get a hit on the adult. He then threw a series of thrusts at the stoat, trying to penetrate his defenses and land a few good hits. The cheers echoed all around him and seemed to egg him on into a sort of frenzy, as his stabs became more wild and had slightly greater force behind them (albeit not much since he was only 11 and there was only so much you could do with a toy).

Ladorak had to admit that what his heart wanted was Jayd as well....and he KNEW he would have to bring himself to forgive her. He had been in her exact spot, where he had only meant well but had ended up hurting others.....it was almost too much for him to bear to think of the pain she would be going through at this very instant.
"Jayd....I've been where you've been. I too...." it was strange, but Ladorak as actually....crying. He could feel her pain now, and to show this he wrapped his own arms about her and finally returned her kiss. "Have hurt others when.....I've only meant well." his voice faltered, a sob came out in a breath of air, but before he could go on a shout rose up from the doorway of the boudoir.
"On the beach for your vows! No, no, no! That simply won't do!" it was a happy, if not a little intoxicated sort of a voice, and Ladorak turned, blinking his tears back to see a fellow ermine standing in the doorway, his arms raised up in exclamation as he walked over to them. It was Prince Ragnar, the King's third oldest son, and one of Ladorak's best friends. It was clear he was slightly inebriated, and Ladorak knew that his stoat friend was a lover of both booze and fine females. He had clearly indulged himself just a bit too much at this party, but Ladorak had seen this before.
"Ah...Prince Ragnar." Ladorak smiled a bit now, caught a little off guard. "Darling....this is Prince Ragnar, the King's son and a very good friend of mine." Ladorak quickly explained as the Prince strode over to them.
"You've got to have a grand ceremony!" Ragnar exclaimed, a light coming into his eyes. "With lots of fancy decorations and music and you deserve it Commander Fugate!" Ragnar spoke out, slightly slurring his words. "I'd be happy to pay for whatever wedding you'd like Jis." Ragnar turned to Jayd as he got close to them. "Please...anything you two want.....I'll foot the bill! You're getting MARRIED for crying out loud, and let me tell you right now Jis, you're giving yourself to a VERY fine jack, if I do say so myself, and I think you guys deserve a little something more than just a quiet little wedding!"
His voice was a little loud, but it was clear he meant well. "Ah no Your Highness...."
"Highness!? Come on Commander Fugate! You know to just call me Ragnar!"
"Oh...yes of course Ragnar, but you really don't have to...." but Ragnar cut Ladorak off.
"Jis...I've got a very serious question for you, and I hope you'll say yes." Ragnar fixed an eye on Jayd, closing the other one as if he were studying her. It wasn't a malevolent gaze, it was rather fun-loving one in fact, and though the smell of alcohol was definitely on his breath, Ragnar wouldn't bother this couple longer than it would take to confirm a few things with them first. In all actuality he did have a very serious question for Jayd. He wanted in fact to do her a favor as a way of repaying Ladorak for teaching him the ways of Naval life and eventually getting him a rank of Admiral.

It was complete relief when he finally wrapped his arms around her. Oh for the God's sake his embrace was just what she needed and longed for. She curled into him and happily sighed.
Jayd saw his tears and then heard his soft sob. She reached up to cup his cheek in her paw as if to console him now. The stoat-tess wanted nothing more then him and him alone.
But soon they were interrupted. At first Jayd was a little annoyed but soon she became amused, especially when she found out that it was the friend that Ladorak had told her about, and spoke rather fondly of. The femme let out a laugh.
She remained in his arms, it's where she longed to be, as the drunk male approached them. The smell of alcohol was blown in her direction when he spoke to her, nothing she wasn't accustomed to and so she didn't turn away in disgust or anything. Jayd would humor him. "Yes M'lord? She chuckled. She liked this fellow already.

"Ah, good!" Ragnar tried to straighten up and regain control of his senses, and he did a fairly good job, though his eyes were still drifting out of focus from time to time, he kept them as straight as he could for what he said next.
"Jis...."
"Jasmyn" Ladorak helped Ragnar out.
"Ah! Jis Jasmyn then! Jis Jasmyn, I owe so much to your fiance you see. He not only showed me the ropes on how to be a good sailor and helped earn me the post of Admiral, but he provided companionship and many nights of hearty conversation while dining on his vessel. I really would want to make it up to him, and since I know times are tight, not only am I willing to foot whatever bill you might have for your upcoming wedding....but Jis...." he became stiff and tried standing at attention in front of her.
"On the date of your marriage, that glorious day, and I promise you I will be VERY sober for it" He said, flashing her a gleaming white grin. "Could I have the very great honor of walking you down the aisle and pawing you off to your husband to be here?" he motioned at Ladorak and stood there with an expectant and hopeful gaze.
Ladorak, for his part, was shocked. That was....a surprisingly polite and very good natured thing for Ragnar to offer! That was the one thing Ladorak loved about his fellow ermine. No matter the circumstance, Ragnar could always surprise you when you least expected it. In Ladorak's opinion Ragnar was always the warmest of Poynt's 3 oldest sons, and perhaps it was for that reason that Ladorak got along so well with him. Any noble who was willing to do kind things and make offers like this to a mere commoner just showed what a generous heart they had, and earned Ladorak's lifelong respect.
And so it was that not only Ragnar but Ladorak too was hoping Jayd would say yes, both as a favor to his friend and for the fact that just having a Prince of the Galdean Royal Family walk your wife to be down the aisle was something most beasts could only dream about....though of course, Ladorak didn't think that he'd win kudos with King Poynt for this one as Poynt tended to frown on Ladorak's friendship with Ragnar but....who really cared at this point (poynt)? Ragnar was offering out of the kindness of his soul in order to pay Ladorak back (though Ladorak would never hold any beast in his debt) and that was what mattered here. To hell with what his father would think!
The two waited on Jayd's answer, and her fiance in particular was very curious as to how she would like this.

Jayd laughed but she was fairly impressed by the male. He was royalty and he was offering her the dream of a lifetime for a female. Softly she cleared her throat as she looked up at Ladorak and then back to Ragnar. Respectfully she bowed her head and then spoke. "Since my father will not be able to attend our wedding I would be honored if you would walk me down the isle to meet my husband to be." For a commoner Jayd was very graceful and her manners rivaled a Queen's. She looked back up at Ladorak most lovingly, hoping that her choice of acceptance was per his approval.
She supposed that she would find that out when they were alone but for now she turned back to Ragnar and spoke again. "But only if you promise to remain sober until after the wedding. The reception will be a time for merriment and celebration." For his generous spirit Jayd wouldn't dare to deny the prince the right to partake of the spirits when the time was appropriate and called for it. Jayd giggled and then bowed her head to Ragnar once more before allowing her eyes to meet with his for a response.

A spark seemed to come into Ragnar's eyes, and he grinned once again. "Ah you won't have to worry about that Jis. On my honor and the honor of my family I won't touch a drop that day. It'll be too important an occasion after all." he crossed his heart chest with a claw in a playful manner. He was several years younger than Ladorak, clocking in at 27, but due to his royal lineage he had already made the rank of Admiral in the Galdean Navy, and he knew every bit of that was thanks to Ladorak's help.
Poynt's other older sons were slated for different careers of course. Whereas Ragnar was chosen for the Navy, Redfur had been selected for a career in the Army and Poynt Jr was of course the Crown Prince, scheduled to succeed his father should something ever happen to Poynt III.
"I promise I'll do my best too to console you and wipe away any pre-marital tensions you might be having that day Jis Jasmyn." Ragnar said in a sincere tone. "Going to be a big day I'm sure.....and speaking of which...when would you two be wed?" He looked back and forth between Ladorak and Jayd.
"Um.....well....Jayd.....would you like to choose a date?" her fiance smiled down at her. "And something reasonable." he said, winking at her. "I know how much you might be tempted to say tomorrow, but we've gotta discuss everything we'd like and location and such like that." An idea occurred to Ladorak now. Hmmm....maybe he could take her to Stratospheros for their honeymoon.....visit the new Emperor Francis in his grand palace in the city that was said to be the center of culture.
