~Jayd
It was evident that Jayd was tired. It was hard carrying around the extra weight of the baby. It was hard on her body mostly but her spirits were high in regards to being a mother soon. "Let's just take Caden to the mazes then to the doctor... the shopping or window shopping." Jayd laughed. She was very aware of their financial situation and she was more then wiling to do anything to ease the tension for her husband, even if that meant buying just what they needed to get by until he had some work.
Jayd held onto Ladorak's arm while they walked. They ambled slow enough that the femme wasn't to uncomfortable. She was tired yes but she didn't want to deprive Caden of his first corn maze. He looked so excited and his spirits were high. After all that he's been through he deserved some happiness in his life. Kits grow up way to fast anyway.
The female smiled. She knew that it would be a late night for them all, especially for her because let's face it... kits spring back and have more unspent energy then a pregnant female does. Jayd laughed inwardly but the smile still painted her beautiful features. This would be a good day, a day that they all would never forget.

"Oh you know! I just remembered! How could I have forgotten! We should swing by Gusted Manor....that upper class place that my friend Jal Montegu Sylver lives in. He has a friend.....Jis Bryony Bludd, and she's a trained vet...perhaps the best in the city. She would be more than happy to be there for the birthing process I think. I mean she would do it for free...not to say of course I wouldn't offer to pay her...but I'm sure she'd turn it down regardless."
His features showed that he was pleased with having remembered this fact. Jis Bludd was a good friend of the family, and she would probably be more than willing to help out in their time ahead as the day of the kit's arrival drew nearer and nearer.
"Gusted Manor isn't too far. We'll head over in that direction first....and perhaps skip the maze if you aren't feeling up to it. I can take Caden some other time, don't worry about it." Ladorak said, shaking his head. His wife's well being was more important to him right now than having fun.
Though he knew not what the future had in store, the stoat could only hope he was up for it, and that he wouldn't shirk when the time came. It made him more nervous than he'd ever been before.....than he could remember having been. It would be a test for him....and he hoped he was prepared....that he could face it as they headed into the streets proper of the capital of Welkin.
END!
